So it’s been a long time since I have blogged & alot has happened since then. First, I’m no longer in Georgia & have moved back to my home town in Wisconsin. Second, I’m a grandma now to a beautiful little girl; Skylar.

I hope to keep up some blogging here & to start talking a little more too about photography. Just a thought….a client was asking me about time of day & trying to work their wedding schedule around the best time of day to get pictures. This is great….I would love every wedding to have their portrait time when conditions are ideal BUT….It is my job as a professional photographer to do portraits in less than ideal conditions. Professional photographers should know how to manipulate the conditions to give their clients the best photographs wether it be high noon or the “golden hour”. Not every wedding can have portrait times at that ideal time of day & yes, would I like to avoid portraits when the sun is directly above in the sky? Of course but I can also do portraits during that time too. Now you won’t find me scheduling engagement sessions during that time or bridal portraits during that time but on your wedding day if that’s when they need to be then that’s when they’ll be & I can still produce the portraits that are beautiful. That’s my job & that is why you hire a professional.

On that note; hope winter is over & I’m looking forward to spring!
